We are a select group sharing similar ideals, hopes, and purposes, bonded together by deep friendship and mutual understanding. Such a bond provides the foundation which enables the college student to become a poised and self-confident adult equipped with a keener mind, a greater appreciation, and broader sympathies. This bond is further fortified by a group of true and understanding friends who will stand by him throughout life.
Rush is conducted during the fall and winter quarters of each year. Unlike other universities, there is no formal Greek Rush period at the University of Chicago.
Rush is going to look a little different this year but we want to provide opportunities for you to see what our brotherhood is about.

Founded in 1833, Psi Upsilon is one of the oldest and most notable fraternities in the world. The Omega chapter of Psi Upsilon was established in 1869 at the original University of Chicago, where it survived the closure of the original university and its reincarnation almost thirty years later.
Formally established at the current university in 1897, the Omega chapter has thrived in years since and produced many alumni of great renown.
Psi Upsilon is a way of life. In the nearly two centuries of its existence, the experience for its brothers may have changed, but Psi Upsilon itself, defined by its values, is constant.
